The only information needed is the number of days the equipment is used, and the kilowatt cost for the electricity. The equipment used and number of days is easily obtained from the mitigation estimate. The kilowatt charge can be obtained from the insured’s electric bill or by contacting the electric company. This allows the adjuster to fairly reimburse the insured for the electric used without having to compare electric bills from one month to the other.
